UUI Worship Associates

Worship Associates are lay members of the church who work directly with other committee members, the minister, director of music and director of religious education to both plan and execute services throughout the year.

Worship Associates both assist the minister, as requested, in preparing services and work with other Worship Associates to prepare sermons on Sundays when the minister is not in the pulpit. Worship Associates also arrange for guest speakers, prepare readings, prepare children's stories, and coordinate with other committees and individuals involved in planning and execution of Sunday services.

Each Sunday, a Worship Associate also serves as stage manager, helping prepare the sancuary for worship, making sure lighting and arrangement of furniture and other elements of the service are in place and completing an evaluation of all aspects of the service.

Worship Associates are chosen through an application and interview process.
